TOP 5 TREATMENTS FOR SCALP PSORIASIS

Scalp psoriasis is a skin disorder that affects the scalp. Red and scaly patches appear on the scalp. They can be confined to one part of the head or spread all over the entire scalp and even spread to the back of the neck, forehead and behind the ears. It is assumed that it is caused either by genetic factors or by an erratic immune system that causes the cells in the skin to grow too quickly and form patches on the scalp.

Mild scalp psoriasis is not much noticeable and causes only fine scaling but severe scalp psoriasis causes crusted red lesions which itch horribly. It also causes hair loss, burning sensation, soreness, dry scalp and dandruff like flaking. Though this disorder is not contagious it causes no end of embarrassment and consternation. The intense itching interferes with sleep and leads to other skin infections.
