Natural Cure For Hernia

A hernia occurs when the membrane or wall holding the organ of the body in place tears and part of the organ comes out through the rent. Hernias can happen in the abdomen, groin and upper thigh area. The inside layers of the abdominal wall first become weak then they tear.

The inner lining of the abdomen thrusts against the weak layers and blows up into a balloon like bag. This can cause a loop of the intestines or abdominal tissue to get detached and slip into the bag causing pain.
Hernia can be caused by putting too much strain on an excessively weak abdominal wall. The strain of lifting heavy weights, obesity, strenuous bowel movement and a lot of coughing and sneezing can damage and tear the membrane.
Hernia can happen to people of all ages and it takes a long time to develop. The general symptom is a protuberance in the abdomen or the groin followed by a dull persistent pain. You can also experience pain when you bend or stoop to lift something. Hiatal hernia is the most common type of hernia usually found in elderly people. Smoking and stress can also cause hernia.
