GINGER AND LEMON CONCOCTION


This is the perfect remedy for sore throats or coughs, since lemon provides vitamin C, which is required for the synthesis of collagen, an important structural component of blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and bone. Meanwhile, ginger is a warming and stimulating and encourages sweating to eliminate toxins and dispel mucus and catarrh.
And, you won’t be throwing your money towards expensive medications, you probably will find all you need in your larder.
• 4 oz piece of fresh root ginger
• 600ml of water (2 ½ cups)
• Juice and rind of one lemon
• Pinch of cayenne pepper

Begin by cutting the ginger root into thin slices (no need to peel), mix all the ingredients together in a pan with the water and begin to boil, cover the pan for 20 minutes and remove from heat.
Drink one cupful at a time, if you want a sweetener, reach for honey, which can actually add more healthful benefits to our amazing and ready to go ginger lemon concoction! Enjoy!
