Hemorrhoids are inflammations that occur in the vein that is found around the anal region. The condition is caused when there is excess pressure on these veins, as in the case of sitting, bowel movements and also due to constipation and faulty diet.

Though most people resort to diet control, medications and sometimes surgery for treating hemorrhoids, there are some wonderful home remedies that can be used for controlling the symptoms and also treating the pain associated with hemorrhoids.
Tips To Cure Hemorrhoids Pain
Garlic
When you have hemorrhoids, there are too many things to take care of. The pain, itching, inflammation, burning etc. can be very severe and tamper with your daily life. Garlic is a natural home remedy right from your kitchen that can help in treating hemorrhoid pain and also the inflammation itself.
Garlic is anti inflammatory in nature and has also antibacterial properties that help in preventing infection when you have hemorrhoids. Take 3-4 cloves of garlic and boil it along with two cups of water. Simmer for ten minutes and steep for another ten minutes. Cool and use the water for rinsing the anal region. The water could sting the area initially. But soon the inflammation will subside and you will be relieved of the pain as well.
Sitz Bath
Sitz bath helps in healing the hemorrhoid and also in controlling the pain and burning sensation as well. Epsom salt is a healing agent that can be added to the water in the sitz bath. Allow the water to be warm or slightly hot as well and sit for fifteen minutes in a single session.
You may repeat the procedure several times a day for great relief from pain and inflammation. Using a sitz bath regularly will help heal the wound caused due to the hemorrhoid and soon you will feel much better and free from hemorrhoids along with proper diet control.
Horse Chestnut
Horse chestnut is folk remedy that is used for treating swelling, poor circulation of blood, inflammation etc. Aescin, which is an active compound that is present in horse chestnut, is what works on the wound and reduces the pain and inflammation. Horse chestnut will also help in strengthening the blood vessels around the anal region, preventing the bursting of the vein even under slight pressure.
Horse chestnut can be taken as a tea or capsule every day. The seeds and barks of the young plant is the only safe part of horse chestnut; the rest of the plant being poisonous. Therefore, never attempt to prepare the extract on your own unless you know the procedure. The tea can also be used for rinsing the anal region and also as a compress for attaining relief from the symptoms.
Aloe Vera
Another healing herb that can help cool the anal region immediately and subside the pain, stinging and itching is aloe Vera. The medicinal and anti-inflammatory properties of aloe Vera are well known.
Aloe gel can be applied directly on the inflamed area and the gel will immediately cool the area and prevent pain and burning sensation as well. Aloe gel that is freshly acquired from the aloe plan has to be used for this purpose. Avoid any chemically formulated aloe creams and preparations to avoid infections and aggravation of the condition.
Witch Hazel
Witch hazel has astringent properties and helps in decreasing the bleeding caused due to hemorrhoids. It can also help in treating inflammation, pain and swelling of the affected nerve and hence another excellent remedy for treating hemorrhoids. The herb is available as ointment, liquid or as pads which can be applied on the affected spot for relief from pain and related symptoms. Witch hazel cannot be consumed internally.
Butcher’s Broom
Butcher’s broom has been used for treating varicose veins and hemorrhoids for centuries. It takes care of poor circulation, constricts veins, treats inflamed tissues and veins and also helps in shrinking tissue that is inflamed and damaged.
The compound ruscogen in Butcher’s broom is what causes the effect. Steep one teaspoon of the herb in one cup of boiling water for fifteen minutes for making a tea. Capsules too are available for consumption. The tea can also be used for external application and rinsing and relief attainment. The herb is contraindicated in people with hypertension, BPH, pregnant and breastfeeding women and those who are taking alpha blockers.
Potato
For treating hemorrhoid pain, you can use a poultice prepared from potatoes. For preparing a poultice, cut potatoes into smaller pieces and mix in a blender to make it into a paste.
Spread the paste into a gauze and fold like handkerchief to keep the paste in place. Apply on the inflamed vein. Continue application for fifteen minutes. Repeat many times if needed. This will help in treating the painand also inflammation.
Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar or white vinegar are both helpful in treating pain, burning and inflammation. The astringent qualities of vinegar might initially sting the area during application.
But soon the blood vessels that are swollen will be subsided and the pain and burning will be under control. Reapply several times a day. You can dip the vinegar in a cotton ball and use it for application, leaving it for ten minutes.
Ice
Application of ice is a quick method that can be used for controlling the itching, pain, burning and also inflammation. Rub and ice cube over the inflamed tissue and nerve and hold it in place for ten minutes. If the ice is too cold, you can use a gauze over it and apply. Ice cools and numbs the surface and masks the pain for several minutes.
Prunes
Prunes are known to have a laxative effect and helps in loosening the stools. This will help a patient suffering from hemorrhoids as most often than not, hemorrhoids are aggravated when you pass stools. Once the stools are loose and regulated, the swelling will subside and the wound will slowly heal on its own. Take 2-3 prunes a day to prevent hemorrhoids.
