9 HERBAL REMEDIES FOR BACTERIAL INFECTIONS

NATURAL HERBS FOR BACTERIAL INFECTION

Barberry

Barberry is one of the most effective herbal remedies for bacterial infection. This herb contains the alkaloid berberine antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature.This chemical stops bacteria from getting attached to human cells which helps in preventing infections. It also makes immune system stronger. It is suggested to take approximately 500mg of berberine in a day to treat bacterial infection.




Garlic

Garlic has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which make it a useful herb for fighting bacteria and treating other infections. This herb derives its infection fighting ability from the compound alliums. You may eat 2 to 3 cloves of freshly chopped garlic per day or take 1 to 2 garlic capsules per day for treating bacterial infections. You may also add crushed garlic in to cooked food at the last moment.



Tea Tree Oil

Eucalyptus

The leaves of the plant contain a volatile oil called eucalyptol which provides antiseptic effects.You can take about 0.05 to 0.2 ml of diluted eucalyptus oil every day. Alternatively, take an infusion of 2 to 3gms of eucalyptus leaves twice a day for effective results.

Oregano



The herb oregano helps to treat bacterial infections that occur in respiratory and urinary track. You may prepare a tea of dried or fresh leaves of oregano and drink it three times a day. Alternatively, you may also apply oregano oil on the affected area.

Lomatium
