The fruit of the juniper plant has been used since ancient times to treat high blood glucose levels. The berries contain enzymes that normalize the level of sugar in the blood and treat conditions such as prostate infection, cystitis, edema, asthma and obesity as well. The enzymes are hypoglycemic and diuretic in nature that also treats the underlying causes of high blood sugar. You can consume 40-90 gm of fresh juniper berries every day or take supplements of the berries.

Garlic



Garlic contains allicin, which is an active compound with many medicinal properties. The herb is widely used as a cooking ingredient but is also a popular antibiotic that can reduce risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Along with treating hyperglycemia, garlic can help treat its symptoms as well including fatigue and dizziness. Consume 10-12 raw garlic pods daily or consume garlic capsules for treating hyperglycemia. Do not use garlic supplements along with blood thinning medications.

Coriander




Coriander, or cilantro, is an herb with aromatic properties and is used primarily for garnishing or seasoning various Indian and Mexican dishes. The herb also has medicinal properties and is considered good for bringing down blood sugar levels.
Wash coriander leaves thoroughly and grind them to paste form using very little water. Boil a cup of water and add one tablespoon of the coriander paste in the water. Steep for 10 minutes. Strain the mix and drink it. Consume three cups of coriander tea daily to normalize blood sugar level.

Uva Ursi



Uva ursi is a popular herb in Chinese medicine and has been used by herbalists for treating various problems including infections of the urinary tract. The herb contains allantoin, an active ingredient that can help with the treatment of hyperglycemia. Check with your doctor as to the right dosage of the herbal supplement for treating the condition. The herb has some mild side effects as well that should be taken into account before beginning the treatment.
