5 Excellent Herbs To Treat Fungal Rashes

A fungal rash is a kind of skin infection with red (may be dark or light) colored spots spread across a large area at different parts of body (commonly seen across buttocks, groin area, thighs, etc.) which are irritating, itching, and burning.
Mostly, overweight people, diabetic, or those on heavy antibiotics, are prone to fungal rashes. It is a kind of allergy, caused due to hormonal imbalance or may be due to any cream or ointment. Fungus needs moisture and darkness to grow, therefore with any treatments you should keep the affected areas dry and clean. There are some excellent herbs which can treat fungal rashes, though a medical assistance is advised in extreme and chronic cases.

5 Herbs To Treat Fungal Rashes

Black Walnut



Walnuts are a good source of serotonin and omega-3 fatty acids which reduces inflammation and treats skin infection effectively. Its bark, leaves and nut husks all are used as herbal medicines as this herb contains a chemical known as juglone that is antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and a fungicide.For effective treatment of fungal rashes, use it as a skin wash and also sip it as a herbal tea. You need to be bit cautious while using this herb and consult an experienced practitioner as it is toxic in nature.

Herbal Powder (Sage and rosemary)



Sage and rosemary, both of these herbs are known for their antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antifungal properties and effect on fugal infections.
For specifically treating fungal rashes you can make an excellent anti-inflammatory herbal powder by adding a cup of dusting powder, one tablespoon of each fresh ground sage and rosemary, two table spoons of baking soda. Keep this powder in a container with a tight fitting lid and use at the infected area as and when required.

Berberine



Berberine has long been used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. For treatment of fungal rashes, you should use berberine tinctures or any of these herbal sources of berberine – Barberry, Coptis, Goldenseal, or Oregon grape root.
Apply the solution on the infected area 2-3 times a day and let it work on fungus and bacteria causing infection. Continue this treatment regularly till you observe a proper benefit in your fungal rashes.

Cinnamon



Cinnamon is also a superb herb for treatment of a number of bacterial infection affecting skin. You can take whole cinnamon in the form of herbal tea and tincture to effectively treat yeast infections causing skin problems.
Cinnamon herbal tea will purify your body and detoxify it from all the infection and bacteria causing skin problems. Apply cinnamon paste or tincture over the affected area and let it work on bacteria and germs causing fungal rashes.

Tamanu
