Flaxseed oil is very rich in omega 3 fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory properties. It is essential to get rid of any irregularities in the immune system to treat Graves disease. The omega 3 fatty acids do just that. They enhance and boost the immune system thus preventing it from behaving erratically. It is also beneficial to the eyes as it reduces bulging eyes, which is one of the symptoms of Graves disease. Take one teaspoon twice a day.

Broccoli

Broccoli is a vegetable that belongs to the cabbage family. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and K. The potent substance of broccoli is 3,3’- Diindolymethane which is antibacterial, anti-viral and a regulator of the immune system.
Cure graves disease
It improves the immune responses of the body. Broccoli also contains isothiocyanates which prevents the thyroid gland from producing a large amount of hormones. Broccoli should not be boiled as boiling destroys the nutrients. You can steam it or stir-fry it. Eat broccoli as much as possible in your daily diet.

Bugleweed is an excellent remedy for thyroid dysfunctions. It contains phytochemical and phenolic compounds, various tannins, lycopine and lithospermic acid. Boil for one minute, two tablespoons of finely chopped fresh bugleweed in three cups of water. Strain and drink three to four cups daily.

Radish

Radish is an inexpensive and common vegetable. It has vast reserves of minerals and is rich in vitamin C. It is antiseptic and a stimulant.

Certain chemicals like goitrogens found in raw radish prevent iodine absorption thus preventing the over production of thyroxine. You should eat raw radish in salads. You can also have radish juice. Grate some fresh radish and squeeze out the juice. Add some salt and drink.

Kelp

Kelp is a very common seaweed found on almost all coastlines. It is a superb thyroid tonic. It is anti-inflammatory, a metabolic stimulant, very nutritious and has a soothing and calm effect. Take one heaped teaspoon of kelp and soak it in one cup of boiling water for twenty minutes. Drink one cup before every meal.
